My partner had an appointment scheduled here for weeks. 3 days prior to her appointment they called her to tell her that her insurance is inactive. It’s a group plan through an employer, so this is odd. My partner contacted the insurance provider, who confirmed her policy’s active status. She then followed up with the Alderwood optical. They told her they couldn’t find it, argued that it was inactive, and it would be $161 for her appointment. She cancelled, and had an appointment out of network within 24hrs. Worth it to pay the cost, which was half the quote from Alderwood, and be done with the headache. Rude and organized, what a mess. Do better.
Customer service is 5 stars. Amy was at the front desk. She helped me set appointment a few weeks ago and I observed her positive energy with clients as I walked in and it continued with my wife and I took.
Greeted me, summarized my bill, ask permission before billing. Great with name usage and other courtesies.
Dr. Seth Bronstein was very knowledgeable. He took the time to assess my needs before he started. Had great bed side manners, answered all my questions with clarity. Reviewed my eye pictures with me.
Insurance covered my soft contacts, the contacts check up cost me but my HSA is looking good so no issues.
Walked out with peace of mind. Well done Alderwood Optical. Great team there in Lynnwood. :)
Always a pleasant visit. Staff is friendly and very knowledgeable. They walk you through the frame choices and help you make the best choice for you. They explain your choices in lens, sunglasses, etc and are thourgh in the cost for all the choices.
Do not go here if you have special needs kids of any kind. When making the appointment, the staff was told that my son is autistic and non-verbal, which they said was no problem for seeing him. When we get there, he has a small period of anxiety due to the new environment, which maybe lasts 3 minutes, but that was long enough for Dr Sharma to refuse him as a patient. She said he should go to a HOSPITAL where they are better equipped for autistic kids, and that they only help HIGH FUNCTIONING autistic kids. I also had to tell them not to bill our insurance so that we could go somewhere else, even though they had literally performed no services. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME HERE.
Ridiculous pricey. I told them i need my glasses by end of this year, now they told me it won’t be until beginning of next year. Such a liar. Biggest mistake to go there. So please dont go there. There are plenty of great eye doctors around. Do your research and read comments.
brought my kids for back to back appointments, youngest ended up vomiting from anxiety and then employees dismissed him as a patient. Optometrist dismissed him immediately and said she would "refer him to children's hospital" because "they don't handle nonverbal kids". I'm disabled and the office isn't accessible even for a rollator. I'm relieved I didn't have my wheelchair. The employees kept trying to separate us even though the appointments were made back to back so the kids and I could stay together and with our care giver. Had a better experience at a Walmart.
These guys are the best! I was a new patient, asking for a same day appointment, and they actually managed to squeeze me in due to a cancellation. The employees were all friendly, professional, on the ball, and very helpful. They didn't dawdle, but also didn't make me feel rushed through the appointment. The doctor and all staff were so very kind, and listened to me without judgement. I'm so glad I found this place. I'll be doing all my future appointments here.
They have illegal charges!!!!!!!!!!!!!! A week before my appointment front desk called me and asked for my medical insurance which is unusual for a eye doctor. I told them that I do not have it. I only have vision insurance. When I came to my appointment I was asked again for my medical !!! not vision !!! insurance I told them again that I do not have it. After seeing the doctor a front desk person came to me and said that the doctor saw signs of cataract and I need to pay $250 out of packet. Also, they will charge my vision insurance for an eye exam. I am 40 y old and having a cataract at this age is impossible. Also, even if there were signs of a cataract I was not treated for that in their office, why do I need to pay 250$ extra. Checking my eyes for a disease is a part of an eye exam and always covered by vision insurance!!!!!!! Do not come here they have hidden illegal charges !!!!
